This is actually a pretty good set of books. The prequels provide some background and depth to the characters and the first book in the series provides a good story that starts pulling everything together. As in all "superman" action stories, the characters are practically invincible. I don't see this as a fundamental flaw, because you can't write a series if your protagonists are killed off quickly. I think the "fun" part is actually signing in to the PRIMAL web site, clicking on the "intelligence" tab and reading some additional background an the organizations and equipment mentioned in the book. The tempo of the stories is good and it makes you want to continue reading. A good read. If you like action stories, get this.Product details

This book is a very good, well planned starter for the series. The action is nonstop and original, the content moves smoothly. Good characters, well fleshed out and original. The story moves cleanly forward, going on to the next action.
I would rate it higher but lowered to 3 stars for the profanity. The story made me push through the fowl language.
This was a high speed, low drag bundle of fun that just spread across the pages with ease. Everything happens at a fast pace and with great precision, just like the PRIMAL operatives. Of you're looking for a fun read with plenty of action, then this series is for you. It's nice seeing the bad guys getting what they deserve.
This is a good set of basic military action stories. The writing style is rather simplistic, as are the characterizations, for the most part. Light reading, but well done for what it is. I didn't notice any problems with grammar, spelling, or word usage, thank heavens.
Not bad, but not engaging enough for me to invest in more books in the series.
Hard-hitting men's adventure series that my dad and I have been enjoying for over a year-and- a-half now. Loads of action with only a small dollop of romance yet many humorous passages thrown in for good measure that makes for an engaging read. Only quibble I have is with regards to the uneven price point as book description reads "Get the PRIMAL starter box set for only $7.99" whereas current total is two dollars higher so hoping that gets sorted out, but otherwise series does keep us entertained and last I heard we both still give it all thumbs up!
A Great Series with a lot of action and details of weapons and equipment; what could be more fun, than blowing up bad guys all over the world, with an almost unlimited budget?? What's not to love! A MUST READ.

Sorry, nothing against this author, this just isn't my type of story to read. The story doesn't draw me in. I appreciate our special forces and was thinking this series would be something I'd like. If you really like getting into war and strategy detail, this series IS for You.
